On March 7, William Grady Gulley Jr., of Key West, Florida, previous of Linthicum, Maryland, passed away at the age of 67. Devoted husband of Harriet Gulley; beloved father of Melissa Miller, Erin Pleasant, and Kim Shegan; loving brother of Richard Walchuck, Michelle Adams, and James Gulley; Cherished grandfather of McKenzie Miller, Christian Miller, Jackson Pleasant, and Brody Pleasant; caring step-son of Nancy Gulley. He was predeceased by his parents, William Sr. and Maceilla Heath.
Born in Ft. Meade, Maryland, Bill worked as a police officer in Colorado for three years, the Army Housing Department at Ft. Meade for ten years, and then as a construction inspector for the Army at Ft. Meade for another 10 years. In total, Bill worked for 39 years in the Army and the Army Reserves as a Command Sergeant Major. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A., a Hunter Safety Instructor, a lifetime member of the V.F.W., a maritime Captain, and a motorcycle safety instructor for the state of Maryland. Bill enjoyed sport shooting, hunting. Sailing, Blue Water Cruising the Bahamas and the Caribbean, motor boating, motorcycles, and scuba diving. Bill loved to read and could fix anything. He loved to teach his grandchildren how to fix things as well.
