Roger Vaun Von Vleck

Roger Von Vleck, a resident of Severn, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 04, 2022 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD. He was 77.  Roger was born on August 30, 1944 in Bedford, Ohio and was the son of the late John G. Von Vleck and Helen (nee Miekle) Von Vleck.

Since childhood, Roger loved fishing on Lake Opinicon in Ontario, Canada. It was there that he passed down his love of nature to his daughter. Roger took pride in his years working for the DOD. There he met his wife. He also created lasting bonds with co-workers who became lifelong friends. Roger enjoyed watching sports, live and on TV, playing cards and competing with friends in fantasy sports. Most of all he loved simply spending time with family and friends.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Rebecca Von Vleck; beloved daughter, Kimberly Von Vleck; brother, John; niece, Jessica; nephew, Michael (Elizabeth); great- niece, Morgan; brothers-in-law David (Betty) and Thomas (Linda) Sturgill.

The family will receive  friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 pm.
