Charles Lilley, software engineer and lifelong resident of Maryland, died unexpectedly on May 28, 2021 at the age of 63 at his home in Columbia Maryland.
Charles is survived by his wife of 41 years Benjamat Lilley, older brother Mark and niece Susie.
Charles or Chip as he was known to his friends and family, was born in Washington DC on April 15, 1958 to Herbert and Flossi Lilley. He graduated UMUC in 1999 with a degree in Computer Science and worked as a software engineer until his passing.
Chip was a devoted husband and loved traveling with his wife and family. He enjoyed civil war era muskets, history and model trains. Chip also enjoyed Thai food and became quite a proficient cook. He was an animal lover and cared for many cats throughout his lifetime. He was a skilled woodworker and had a talent of restoring furniture. In his young years he liked to play the guitar in a band and modify cars.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 on Saturday June 5, 2021 at Donaldson Funeral Home 1411 Annapolis Road Odenton, MD 21113 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ASPCA in his honor.
