Betty Louise (Webb) Sells

On January 14, 2021, Betty Louise Sells of Gambrills, Maryland, 89, passed away peacefully with family by her side.  She was born and raised in Livingston, Tennessee.  She was the beloved wife of 70 years to the late Billy Grey Sells; devoted mother to William Lynn Sells and wife Norena Lynn; loving grandmother to William Christopher Norris Sells, Sarah Crouse and husband Matthew, Matthew Crook and wife Mollie, and Michael Crook and wife Stephanie; cherished great-grandmother of Michael and Sophia Crook, Marissa, Memphis and Mylie Crook and Madison and Matthew Crouse. Betty is also survived by her caring brother Kennith Webb and wife Jimmie and many loving nieces and nephews.

Betty was predeceased by her parents Herman and Hannah Webb and her siblings Edith Webb, Gladys Biddle, Dempsey Webb, Johnnie Webb, and Sue Anna Brock.

As a military family, Betty and Bill resided in Tennessee, Texas, Hawaii, and Florida before finally settling in Maryland. While in Texas, Betty worked as a licensed hairdresser and cosmetologists. In Maryland, Betty worked several jobs at Fort Meade and retired as a Budget Analyst as Chief of Headquarters Branch, Deputy Chief of Staff for Resource Management, First U.S. Army, Fort Meade, MD. 

Betty was very talented and had many hobbies including making stained glass pieces, beautiful framed cross stitch, collecting and restoring dolls and sewing lovely clothes for her dolls.  She also collected antiques and epergnes, especially cranberry glass and loved anything Victorian.  She truly enjoyed co-hosting tea parties with her niece Clara while spending time with family, friends and neighbors.
