Patrick Ryan Culver, a resident of Harmans, MD, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was 51. Patrick was born on September 25, 1967 in Annapolis, MD and was the son of Howard Edison Culver, Jr., and Ada Catherine (nee Doughty) Culver.
Patrick was one of a kind and he always used to say the only thing PC about him was his initials, He was our Rock, keeping us all laughing with his quick wit and teaching us all he knew about history. One of his favorite quotes to describe his passion for history was “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”. During his Youth he was a musical prodigy playing 5 years as First Chair in a High School Band alongside his Brother. He was also an active Member of his local Boy Scout Troop and earned the title of Eagle Scout. Patrick served his Country with the US Air Force for 20 years, 11 months and 9 days as he often said. He was an expert Marksman, received many commendations during his Service in Security Forces, SWAT and The Presidential Honor Guard. Patrick served as Worshipful Master for 2 years at Odenton Lodge 209 AF & AM in the footsteps of generations of Culver Men.
Along with his parents, Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Busch Culver; beloved daughter, Emily Helen Culver; devoted brother, Alan Scott Culver; two cherished nephews, Alexander Edison and Jacob Alan Culver; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 3 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A Masonic Service will take place at 7:30 pm.. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 12:00 pm in the Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow to Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
