David Monzon Orenze, Jr. of Laurel, MD passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at his residence, at the age of 67. David was born on June 9, 1951 in Cavite, Philippines to the late Miguel Rafael Sabino and Lucila Monzon Sabino along with his adoptive parents, David Orenze Sr. and Remedios Monzon Orenze.
David, a veteran of the US Navy for 20+ years, was one of the most kind hearted and generous individuals. He worked very hard, many times working three jobs at a time, to ensure his family had a good life. He always put his family’s needs before his and that is what made him happy. Although, mostly very quiet, you can generally spark up a good conversation with him about sports. He had an interest in tennis, football, golf, and his own personal health. You would generally catch him starting his day at the gym in the morning before heading into work. He and his wife often traveled to be with their family in Illinois and in the Philippines. They truly loved being in each others company catching a good movie, taking long walks, and enjoying a good meal.
David is survived by his wife, Lumina S. Robbs; three children, Brian Orenze, Jennifer Orenze Aguado and husband, BJ, and Alyanna Sardillo and husband, Eric; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Corazon S. Sattaur, Lolita M. Sabino and Zenaida S. Agu and a brother, Pablito M. Sabino. In addition to his biological and adoptive parents David was preceded in death by his brother, Armando M. Sabino.
The family will receive friends at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment services to be scheduled at Arlington National Cemetery.
